21 Thunder - Season 1

After the fourth episode, Greg David of TV, eh? wrote: "I said off the top how pleasantly surprised I've been with 21 Thunder's first season. The writing is taut and the characters are anything but cookie-cutter; 21 Thunder has turned into my sleeper hit of the summer."[12]

The brand new sports drama 21 Thunder premiered on the Canadian channel CBC on July 31st, 2017 with eight episodes for its very first season. Created by Riley Adams, Kenneth Hirsch and Adrian Wills, the show hails from the production companies PMA Productions, Generic Productions and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and is executive produced by Kenneth Hirsch, Michael Levine, Malcolm MacRury and Adrian Wills. The cast features Stephanie Bennett, Emmanuel Kabongo, Andres Joseph, Kevin Claydon, Jonathan Kim, Clark Backo and Ryan Pierce.

Hopefully, in the upcoming season, we will see new stars join the team as they try to make it to the professional leagues. Ultimately, we will be in for even more drama and rivalry as the characters battle it out in one of the biggest sports on the planet.

Is it possible to cram any more anxiety-riddled storylines into one show? Sure, if you toss in loads of special effects with million-dollar budgets perhaps. But 21 Thunder series writer Riley Adams outdid himself with the season finale. Most loose ends were satisfactorily tied up in very plausible ways and yet questions remained open, leaving an opportunity for the show to grow should the series be picked up for Season 2. More on that later.

Thunder: G/F Andre Roberson did not play, and Oklahoma City coach Billy Donovan said he doesn't know when the defensive stopper will return to action. Roberson has missed the past 1 1/2 years while recovering from surgery on his left patellar tendon. ... Starting shooting guard Terrance Ferguson did not take a shot for more than 1 1/2 games to start the season. He has scored two points in two games, both starts.

Thunder C Steven Adams is off to a rough start. The 7-foot center from New Zealand has made 4 of 17 field goals and 2 of 8 free throws the first two games. He's averaging 12.5 rebounds, but his offensive struggles have hurt a team that has been in two close games to start the season.

What's funny about all of this now is that the No. 1 seed, the Pacers vociferously stated goal from the start of the season, is now an afterthought. Vogel doesn't even want to talk about it, and the players have toed the company line.

"We're going to take it (Orlando) as a playoff game," said Lance Stephenson, who had his fifth triple-double and ran the offense from the point throughout most of the fourth quarter. "We have to get that No. 1 spot. That's what we wanted from the beginning of the season, so we have to take it.''

Saturday mornings usually start with coffee, but on this day, it started with a Trine match win over Heidelberg, the first of the young season for the Thunder. It was a four-set triumph for Trine over their Ohio Athletic Conference opponent.

Sophomore outside hitter Audrey Scrafford compiled a season-high 21 kills while swinging at a .353 clip. Sophomore rightside hitter Sarah Muisenga was next highest in kills with 14 kills. Senior setter Erin Risk totaled 46 assists and 11 digs. Senior libero Mary Claire Tuohy put up 27 digs. 041b061a72
